[origin: US2006131198A1] A protective and cushioning package ( 1 ) includes a base wall ( 2 ), two boxes ( 3 ), two flaps ( 4,5 ), a device for maintaining the boxes ( 3 ) and the flaps ( 4,5 ) in raised position; and for each box ( 3 ), an outer side wall ( 100 ), and intermediate wall ( 11 ) and an inner side wall ( 13 ) form a triangular profile linked by an articulation ( 14,52 ) to the base wall ( 2 ) and at least one cushioning tab ( 20,21 ) is arranged in an opening ( 15 ) provided in the box ( 3 ) by being attached to the box ( 3 ) solely by one end opposite the base wall ( 2 ).
