[origin: WO2004044427A1] The invention relates to a motor-pump unit (1) for a motor vehicle brake system, comprising a motor (4) and a pump (3) which is provided with a shaft (5) that is driven by said motor (4). The end (15) of the shaft is rotatably mounted within a receiving element (2) that comprises at least one bearing (8), valves, and connecting ducts. The shaft (5) drives displacing means which are disposed inside a chamber (11) that can be filled with pressurizing agents. In order to improve vacuum filling of the brake system with pressurizing agents, the shaft end (15) extends into a free space (16) while at least one connection (19) is provided between said free space (16) and the chamber (11).
