[origin: EP1564376A2] Rotor (11) comprises a rotor core (22) made from a first material and concentrically surrounded by screening rings (18) made from a second material to screen the core from the temperature in the hot gas channel (12) and/or cooling air channel. The second material has a higher heat strength than the first material. The screens are connected to the rotor core in an interlocking manner. Preferred Features: The first material is ferritic steel and the second material is austenitic steel. The screening rings are connected to the rotor core by soldering or welding. Cooling channels (20) for the passage of cooling air are provided on the inner side of the screening rings.
