Abstract (en)
The lamp has a lamp base and an axially symmetrical discharge vessel (30), whose discharge space provided with an ionizable filling is arranged for producing a gas discharge. Transparent frosting (37) is formed as partial frosting of the vessel in a region of the space. The frosting is limited to a section of inside or outside of the vessel extending over a part of the vessel circumference. An independent claim is also included for a method of producing a high-pressure discharge lamp.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Hochdruckentladungslampe, insbesondere eine quecksilberfreie Hochdruckentladungslampe für einen Fahrzeugscheinwerfer, mit einem Lampensockel (1) und einem axialsymmetrischen Entladungsgefäß (30), in dessen Entladungsraum (300) eine Metallhalogenide enthaltende ionisierbare Füllung und Elektroden (31,32) zur Erzeugung einer Gasentladung angeordnet sind. Erfindungsgemäß ist das Entladungsgefäß (30) mit einer lichtdurchlässigen, partiellen Mattierung (37) versehen, die auf einen sich über einen Teil des Entladungsgefäßumfanges erstreckenden Abschnitt der Innenseite oder Außenseite des Entladungsgefäßes (30) beschränkt ist, wobei dieser Abschnitt eine wohldefinierte Lage bezüglich des Lampensockels (1) aufweist. Außerdem ist ein einfaches Herstellungsverfahren für die partielle Mattierung (37) angegeben, die auf der Innenseite des Entladungsgefäßes (30) angeordnet ist.
