[origin: WO2004051343A1] The invention relates to a device for optically viewing at least one stereoscopic observation beam path of a main observation beam path of a microscope, for example a surgical stereomicroscope. Said device comprises a zoom (6), whose axis is displaced at optically viewing an assistant's stereoscopic observation beam paths (9a, b). The beam splitter (7) is interposed between the main lens (2) and the zoom (6) and can be continuously rotated, together with the assistant's microscope (8), about the optical axis (4) of the main lens (2), thereby making it possible to optically utilize it in any rotational position.
