Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004040713A1] The invention concerns a system for electrical connection to a main electrical circuit distributed inside the structure of a vehicle, a secondary electrical circuit associated with a subassembly, such as in particular a vehicle seat, for powering electrical equipment features pertaining to said subassembly. Said system comprises a first upper connector (10) consisting of a body (12) and of a contact-bearing element (14); and a second lower connector (18), complementary to the upper connector (10) consisting of a body (12), borne by the structure, and of a contact-bearing element (24), housed in the body (20) and of the type wherein the coupling of the two connectors is carried out along an axial coupling direction when the subassembly is being mounted on the structure. The invention is characterized in that the upper connector (10) includes a mechanism maneuvered from outside the body (12), and which moves the upper contact-bearing element (14) from a starting position to a connecting position for providing a connection between the two contact bearing elements (14, 24).
