Abstract (en)
The backrest (1) for an office chair has a lower back support (3) with horizontal supporting ribs (2). A vertical cable (9) can be wound up using a control knob (7) on the side of the chair to adjust the curvature of the support. An independent claim is included for chairs incorporating the backrest.

Bei einer Rückenlehne (1), insbesondere für einen Bürostuhl, mit einer Lordosenstütze (3) aus zueinander parallel verlaufend angeordneten Stützrippen (2) sind diese in deren Ausgangsstellung biegeelastisch vorgewölbt. Ein über ein Stellorgan (6) betätigbares Stellelement (9) zur Einstellung der Lordosenkrümmung (18) ist dabei derart auf der Krümmungsseite (12) der Lordosenstütze (3) geführt, dass bei einer Zugbelastung des Stellelementes (9) die Lordosenkrümmung (18) abnimmt. <IMAGE>
