[origin: WO2004050173A1] An electromagnetic treatment device (200) includes a treatment pad (206) and a generating unit (218) connected to the treatment pad by a coaxial cable (205). The treatment pad has an antenna (211) on one side of the treatment pad. The generating unit includes a start/stop button (220), a radio frequency generator (208) and a covertest board (212). A single-use cover system (201) includes the electromagnetic treatment device and a disposable cover (203) including a RFID tag (202). The single-use cover system verifies that the disposable cover is placed over the treatment pad properly and that the disposable cover has not been used previously.
