[origin: WO2004048013A1] Method of typing two or more components (1, 2) together by means of a fastener (3), in which each component (1, 2) is provided with a hole and the components are placed so that the holes overlap one another in order to receive the fastener (3) in the holes, the fastener (3) placed in the holes being mechanically pressure-loaded and heated in order to deform the fastener, thereby tying the components (1, 2) together. The fastener (3) is heated essentially only during the fastener deformation phase, in order to minimize the heat transfer from the fastener (3) to the components (1, 2) being tied.
