[origin: DE10255764B3] The chassis has a spring carrier for supporting a coil spring (1) held between 2 plate springs (2) and a shock absorber (3), with part of the piston rod (5) and/or the damping cylinder (4) lying within the coil spring. At least one plate spring is adjusted axially via a drive unit provided by an annular electric motor with a stator (13) and a rotor (12) and a spindle drive (17,18), partly contained within the coil spring and partly within the annular electric motor.
