Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004048198A2] The invention relates to a method and device for erecting flat paperboard blanks (12) for cartons, collapsible boxes, trays (11) or the like. Said cut blanks (12) are moved before the aperture (16) of a forming shaft (17) and introduced therein with the aid of a forming punch (20, 22) which can be raised and lowered, certain parts of a cut-out blank (12) being released, in particular in the area of lateral walls (15), or longitudinal and/or transversal walls or the like. According to said invention, the cut-out blank being introduced into the forming shaft (17), the forming punch (20, 22) is released at least partially outside the forming shaft (17) in a position before the aperture (16) thereof. In the preferred embodiment, the forming shaft (17) is connected to at least two forming punches (20, 22) which are successively displaceable in order to impress one (single) cut-out blank into the forming shaft (17). In the preferred embodiment, said forming punches (20, 22) are extracted from the forming shaft (17) by tilting in a direction opposite to the direction of the impression of the cut-out blanks (12).
