[origin: US2005115264A1] The present invention provides an indoor unit of an air conditioner in which a heat exchanger can be easily installed and a method of assembling an indoor unit of an air conditioner. The indoor unit of the air conditioner includes a cross flow fan, an indoor heat exchanger, and a lower casing. The indoor heat exchanger has an approximate inverted V-shape in cross-section, auxiliary lines in which refrigerant flows that are connected thereto, and is disposed so as to cover the upper portion of the cross flow fan. The lower casing supports the cross flow fan. Then, each portion of the support unit is positioned at the height of the apex of the ventilation fan or lower.
