Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1568960A2] A method for constructing an efficient heat exchanger, e.g. a radiator for an engine cooling system, has flat profile ribs (2) with parallel coolant ducts connected to two parallel supply and return ducts (5, 6) fitted to one side of each block. The end panels (7) of each block has extension tags (8) which form spacers between the supply and return ducts to reduce the thermal connection between the ducts. The tags can be twisted to form an open profile spacer with reduced thermal conduction.
