[origin: WO2004054804A1] The invention relates to methods for controlling both a first roll (04), which takes up a damping agent from a damping agent reservoir, as well as a second roll (06). The first roll transfers the damping agent to the second roll, whereby the first and second rolls have separate driving devices (07, 08), and both rolls differ from one another in their respective surface velocities effected by their associated driving device. A change in the surface velocity of the form cylinder (09) results in a change in the slip between the first and second roll. The invention also relates to damping systems.
