Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004053333A1] The invention relates to a single-flow type two-spindle screw pump comprising an outer bearing (4) for the two spindles (1, 2), a pump housing (3) that encloses at least the two spindles (1, 2) and thereby forms the conveying chambers (11) required for the pumping process, a connection (6) for the conveying medium that is to be aspirated (arrow 7), said connection (6) being located at the inlet end and extending into a suction chamber (5), and a connection (9) for a pressure-delivering line used for the conveying medium that is to be discharged (arrow 10), said connection (9) being connected to a pressure chamber (8). At least one of the two inventive connections (6, 9) is part of a removable inlet connection housing module or outlet connection housing module (13 or 14, henceforth referred to as connection module ) which is flanged to a conveying housing module (12) so as to form a parting line (15, 16). The inner shell surface (12a) of the conveying housing module (12) delimits the outside of the conveying chambers (11). The parting lines (15, 16) between the conveying housing module (12) and the connection module (13, 14) extend perpendicular to the spindle axes (17, 18) through the cross section of the suction chamber (5) or pressure chamber (8).
