[origin: WO2004053617A1] The invention relates to a device for adjusting a connection part (5), particularly of a set of foot controls in a motor vehicle, which is pivotally mounted by means of a bearing device (1) and to which a transmission unit (6) for transmitting the motion of the connection part (5) is coupled. The inventive device comprises an adjusting mechanism (7) for adjusting the position of the connection part (5), a blocking unit (8), which prevents an unwanted displacement of the connection part (5), and a compensating unit (10) for compensating for the change in distance of the transmission unit (6) from the connection part (5) caused by the displacement of said connection part (5). The bearing device (1) has a slide (3) and is coupled to an adjusting mechanism (7) that comprises a drive unit (9). The slide (3) can be linearly displaced by the drive unit (9), and the compensating unit (10), which is coupled to the slide (3) and to the drive unit (9), essentially compensates for the change in distance of the connection part (5) from the transmission unit (6), which is coupled to said connection part (5), said change in distance being associated with the displacement of the connection part (5) mounted on the slide (3).
