[origin: EP1571892A2] The device has a sensor with a rod (16) arranged on a panel (10) that operates an electric switch mounted on the oven body (2) when the door (4) is moved to its closed position. The switch has a signal transmission link to an electrical or electronic controller and thus enables the oven to be switched on to generate microwave radiation as long as the panel is in its activation position.
