Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10259370B3] The rivet (10) for fastening together metal sheets (12, 14) has a head (26) with a flat underside. Its shaft (16) has ribs (18) around it which are smaller in diameter than the head. The lower section (30) of the shaft has no ribs and is narrower than them.
