Abstract (en)
The rotor of a laboratory centrifuge, rotating in air without an air chamber, has rotor arms (2) ending in fork arms (4) between which containers (6) are hung to swing out on axes (5). On each rotor arm and/or on each container an aerodynamically formed fairing (12,16,20) in the direction of travel is installed in front of at least the radially outer lying areas of the regions (7) of the containers which in the swung out position face the inflow. The fairings are fastened on the rotor arms.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen ohne Windkessel in Luft laufenden Rotor (1) einer Laborzentrifuge, mit in Gabelarmen (4) endenden Rotorarmen (2), zwischen denen Behälter (6) auf Achsen (5) ausschwingbar eingehängt sind, und ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß an jedem Rotorarm (2, 4) und/oder an jedem Behälter (6) eine aerodynamisch geformte Verkleidung (12, 16, 20, 25) in Fahrtrichtung vor wenigstens den radial außenliegenden Bereichen der der Anströmung zugewandten Bereiche (7) der in Ausschwingstellung stehenden Behälter (6) angeordnet ist. <IMAGE>
