The bit (2) connects to the rotating drum of a milling device and is held and can be taken off by a holder (1) on the drum. The bit has a head (4) equipped with a contact part (5) made of hard metal which comes into contact with the material to be removed when in operation. The contact part can be turned on a shaft with at least one component situated vertically to the turning axis of the drum, enabling the head to be removeable from the bit shaft. The bit head and bit shaft are tensionally connected by a flexible part (6) or a screw located in a recess (7) in either bit head or shaft(3). The recess is shaped as a cone, which forms an angle of 1 to 15 [deg] to the bit's central shaft.

Ein Meißel (2) zur Verbindung mit einer rotierbaren Walze einer Fräsvorrichtung zum Materialabtrag ist mittels eines Halters (1) an der Walze halterbar und aus diesem entfernbar. Der Meißel (2) besitzt einen Meißelkopf (4) der mit einem Hartmetall-Kontaktelement (5) versehen ist, das im Betrieb des Meißels (2) mit dem abzutragenden Material in Kontakt kommt. Zumindest das Kontaktelement (5) ist gegenüber dem Halter (1) drehbar um eine Achse, die zumindest eine Komponente senkrecht zur Drehachse der Walze aufweist, wobei der Meißelkopf (4) von einem Meißelschaft (3), der mit dem Halter (1) verbindbar ist, entfernbar ist. Um die Kosten für den Meißel (2), bei dem es sich um eine regelmäßig auszutauschendes Verschleißteil handelt, zu reduzieren und gleichzeitig eine einfache, leicht herzustellende und zu lösende Verbindung zwischen Meißelkopf und Meißelschaft zu schaffen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass der Meißelkopf (4) und der Meißelschaft (3) durch ein elastisches Element (6) kraftschlüssig miteinander verbunden sind, welches in einer Aussparung (7, 7', 11) des Meißelkopfes (4) oder des Meißelschaftes (3) liegt, die zum Teil konisch geformt ist, wobei der Konus eine Neigung von vorzugsweise 1° bis 15° gegenüber der Mittelachse des Meißels aufweist. <IMAGE>
