[origin: EP1574629A1] The water drain (1) in the floor (23) of a shower cubicle has a flat cover (5). The top surface (6) of the cover is slightly convex, and the underside (7) may be flat or slightly concave. The water flows under one edge (28) of the cover into a siphon (4). The water flows under a wall (8) extending downward from the top part of the cover. The siphon leads to a drainage pipe (18) sealed (20) against direct ingress of water.
