[origin: US2006028102A1] A show cabinet for displaying objects, one of the side panels of which is in the form of a glass door, the outer face of which, in the area of the outer edge when in the closed position, closes flush with one side panel of the cabinet in order to seal off the interior of the cabinet in a dust-tight and airtight manner against its surroundings, appropriate flexible sealing strips being affixed in the area of movement of the door. The door is mounted by a guiding means in such a way that it can be moved sideways in a parallel manner until the door opening is completely clear; to open the door, the relevant side panel ( 5 ) can be pushed back, or the door can be moved forward, to such an extent that the inner face ( 8 ) of the door ( 3 ) is able to pass the front edge ( 7 ) of the side panel ( 5 )
