Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004058580A1] The invention relates to a packaging system comprising tablet-type objects, in particular friable tablets, said packaging consisting of exterior packaging configured by a folded blank of cardboard or similar and film pouches that are arranged individually in the exterior packaging, at least one tablet-type object being housed in each pouch. The aim of the invention is to improve said packaging system to increase its strength, in particular its compression resistance when stacked and to reduce the mechanical stress on the tablet-type objects. To achieve this, the folded blank comprises at least an octagonal base surface area (1), which is symmetrical about its centre and provided with two longitudinal edges (25), two narrow edges (26) and four short edges (27) in the corner areas (E), said short edges being adapted to the contours of the tablet-type objects (23). According to the invention, lateral walls (2, 3, 4, 5) that can be interconnected are hinged to the longitudinal edges (25) and the narrow edges (26).
