[origin: WO2004056672A1] The invention relates to aluminium packaging material which exhibits a tensile strength ranging from 90 to 180 N/mm<2> and can be used inter alia for producing lid-like elements for food containers. Said elements being produced and stacked, are easily and simply defoldable. The unfolding property can be improved by a rough surface coating or impression in such a way that unfolding time is also improved. When the lid-like element is provided with a rupture area which is used for forming a discharge opening in order to open the food container, said rupture area remains impermeable for water, dirtiness or bacterial impurities in spite of a frangibility line in the material thereof, thereby providing an essential criterion, in particular for transporting filled food containers.
