[origin: WO2004041680A1] The invention relates to a container (10) for transporting goods, comprising a transport compartment (1) which is open on at least one end side and can be converted into an empty transporting position having a reduced volume, a stabilizing device (2), and an end part for closing the open end side or end sides of the transport compartment in the transporting position. Said aim is achieved in a container of the aforementioned type by configuring at least one end part (3, 4) in a plate-shaped manner, said plate-shaped end part or end parts being placeable in a compact manner in the empty transporting position of the container (10), while a sealing device is disposed between the respective plate-shaped end part and the end side of the transport cell so as to seal the open end side or end sides of the transport compartment in the transporting position.
