Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2849053A1] Lanolin substitutes produced by heating fatty acids, fatty acid esters, hydrocarbons or hydrocarbon derivatives with hydroxy-containing or hydroxy-generating compounds in an oxygen-free atmosphere, are new. An Independent claim is also included for production of lanolin substitutes as above by reacting a combination of unsaturated reactants (acids, esters, hydrocarbons and their derivatives), hydroxy-containing or hydroxy-generating reactants (OH reactants), high-melting reactants, short carbon chain reactants and long carbon chain reactants.
