[origin: WO2004055357A1] The invention relates to a magnetic valve for actuating a fuel injector, comprising a magnet core (2) within which a magnet coil (3) is accommodated. A closing spring (9) acts upon the armature (10) in the direction of closing. A discharge slot (18) for an actuating fluid is formed between a face (8) of the stop sleeve (7), which faces the armature (10), and the armature (10). The discharge slot (18) extends into a hydraulic damping space (31) that is delimited by one face (12) of the armature (10) and a damping area (20) made of a non-magnetic material (16).
