[origin: WO2004057180A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection valve, comprising a valve body (1) in which a drilling (2) is embodied, defined at one end by a valve seat (11) from which at least one injection channel (14) exits. A valve needle (7) is arranged such as to displace longitudinally in said drilling (2) which comprises a valve sealing surface (12) at the end thereof facing the valve seat (11), which cooperates with said valve seat (11) to open and close the at least one injection channel (14). A pressure chamber (5) is embodied between the valve needle (7) and the wall of the drilling (2), which may be filled with fuel under pressure. A pressure surface (30) is embodied on the valve needle (7), facing the valve seat (11), which may be connected to the pressure chamber (5) by means of a throttling point (26) on application of the valve needle (7) on the valve seat (11).
