[origin: EP1577455A2] Building facade or roof with compartments for facade elements, especially glazing elements or covering elements, comprises post profiles (3) and rail profiles (4) for producing a framework with posts (1) and rails (2), covering profiles on the outer side, seal holders (5, 6) on the inner side, sealing strips (9, 10), and drainage channels (7, 8) on the inner side. The sealing strip (10) for a rail is anchored on the seal holder (6) of a rail profile. The base of the drainage channel (8) for a rail is formed by a rail insulator (12) placed on a rail profile and/or a part of the sealing strip of a rail. The sealing strip (9) for a post is used as a sealing strip for the rail and vice versa. Preferred Features: The sealing strips for the posts and the rails have an identical cross-section.
