Abstract (en)
The lamp consists of at least one electric light bulb (22) inside an inflatable transparent envelope (11) with an inflation system (13) including a fan (15), and a power supply. The bulb and fan assembly are surrounded by a transparent or translucent plastic cover (25) that acts as a flameproof insulating screen and an deflector for incoming air that cools the bulb(s) and inflates the envelope through apertures (28). The apertures are located at the upper end of the cover so that the balloon is inflated through the top, and the base of the cover has an open rim (26) that engages with a thrust surface on a support. A thermostat cuts off the power supply to the bulb(s) if the fan stops working.

Un ballon éclairant à enveloppe (11) gonflable renferme un système d'éclairage (12) ayant au moins une ampoule (22) électrique, et des moyens de gonflage (13) dotés d'un ventilateur (15) intégré destiné à aspirer l'air externe pour l'injecter à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe (11) en la maintenant dans l'état gonflé. L'ensemble ampoule (22) et ventilateur (15) est coiffé par un bol (25) en matière plastique transparente ou translucide, constituant un écran isolant antidéflagrant, et un déflecteur de l'air de soufflage pour le gonflage de l'enveloppe (11) à travers des orifices de passage (28) prévus dans le bol (25). <IMAGE>
