[origin: EP1577625A1] The fireproof cladding has several slabs (1) alongside and overlapping each other, with heat-resistant properties. The steel components (4) are fixed to the wall to which the cladding is to be applied. Each slab has at least one recess (2) to take one or more steel components. The transmission of operating forces between the wall and the slabs is thereby to a large extent avoided.
