[origin: WO2004061681A1] A failure position can be determined by unit of software. Event informations occurring in monitored elements are collected (Step ST1). Next, the collected event informations are grouped to produce an event group (Step ST2). Further, occurrence patterns of event informations are collated between the event group and a plurality of pattern-defined groups in which the occurrence patterns of event informations outputted during occurrence of failures are defined (Step ST3).
