Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1577839A2] The method involves creating and storing records with signaling conditions in connection with a franking of a postal unit. Postal items transport processing information (PTI) is allocated at a location of a postal authority. The PTI is activated by a user friendly machine and saved in another location. Data of PTI is processed and send to a user who is notified through signaling of presentation of PTI related to preset conditions. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for controlling utilization of a service that is provided by a postal system for tracing and monitoring of a postal item.
