Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1580338A2] A full flush is activated by using a lever (12) to lift a first upper float (2), the overflow pipe (1) and a means for supporting the first float and overflow pipe in a raised position with the drainage outlet (8) open. The support means comprises a resilient tab which can be rested against a lever (9) which supports the overflow pipe during a full flush and which has its underside capable of engaging with the second float. The first float is located inside a float casing (20) and held against the overflow pipe. A second lower float (6) located inside the float casing beneath the first float has a limited buoyancy. The cistern can be used to make a half-flush.
