[origin: EP1580357A2] A non-rotary cover (4) provided on the outer face (3) of the cylinder core (2) protrudes over the cylinder casing face to end at a location above the keyway (5). At this end of the cover is a stop surface (6) extending essentially parallel to the keyway cross-direction and including a slope (7) extending in the keyway direction. A keyway cover (8) resiliently mounted on the cylinder casing face can be slid in the direction of the keyway and stop surface, guided by the non-rotary cover. Introducing the key into the lock causes the slope to be pressed in the direction of the keyway, moving it out of the way so that the key can enter the keyway.
