[origin: EP1580370A2] A locking system for a door or window has drive bars (3) and locking bars (4) linked via interlocking grips and toothed edges. A separate locking system (32) provides rapid and simple relative adjustment of the drive and locking bars, e.g. during installat ion. The installer releases the separate lock, adjusts the relative setting of the bars, including edge connectors, and resets the locking lever. The design enables a single handed adjustment.
