[origin: WO2004060621A1] The invention relates to a hand-held circular saw (10) comprising a saw unit (12) provided with a housing (14, 16) which is fixed to a motor and a saw blade (18) which can be driven by the motor and which comprises a handle (24). The sawing unit (12) is pivotably mounted between an adjustable minimal and maximum cutting depth in relation to a bearing plate (22). Said machine is protected against kickback during sawing, such that the saw unit (12) is decoupled from handling forces acting upon the saw blade, especially from the handle (24), during sawing.
