Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004063207A1] The invention relates to a method for producing fully condensed oligomer silasesquioxanes of formula R1aR2bR3cR4dR5eR6fR7gR8hSi8O12 wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 represent substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, alkinyl, cycloalkinyl, aryl, heteroaryl radicals or hydrogen which are the same or different, and a + b + c + d + e + f + g + h = 8, said compounds having the structure (1). The invention also relates to the use of said compounds for the synthesis of partially condensed silasesquioxanes, functionalised silasesquioxanes, catalysts, and the parent compounds thereof, and for the synthesis and modification of polymers.
