[origin: WO2004053279A1] A headrail or a bottomrail for a pleated shade has a base and a front wall that meet at an edge and form an acute angle. They are covered with the same fabric used in the pleated shade by placing a pleat on the edge, extending the fabric over the front wall and attaching the fabric with an adhesive or hook and loop type fasteners. In a preferred embodiment the fabric extends over the outside surface of the front wall and is attached to the inside surface of the front wall. The acute angle keeps the fabric straight on the rail allows the fabricator to quickly attach the fabric without creating wrinkles.
