Abstract (en)
The apparatus has a box (1) divided into upper and lower compartments (3, 4) by a grid. The upper compartment includes a siphon (10) that comprises of a vertical partition and an opening (12) which traverses the wall of the box. An overflow (6) evacuates a light fraction of pulp from the upper compartment. The opening extends from an enclosure (20) whose upper end is situated at a level higher than the overflow.
