Abstract (en)
The device has a linear pyrotechnic charge (5) placed in a flattened deformable tube (6), where a space is provided between the charge and the tube. The tube is deformed by the combustion of the charge, where the speed of combustion is lower than 3000 meter/second. The deformation of the tube permits a structure (3) to be ruptured at the minimum thickness level, where the structure has minimum thickness at the level of a groove (4).

Le domaine technique de l'invention est celui de la sécurité automobile impliquant des dispositifs de découpe d'une structure comme, par exemple, un tableau de bord, afin de mettre en action un dispositif de sécurité. L'objet de la présente invention concerne plus spécifiquement un dispositif de découpe (1) d'une structure dans une automobile comprenant une charge pyrotechnique linéaire (5) placée dans un tube déformable aplati (6), la combustion de ladite charge (5) entraînant la déformation du tube (6) qui accroît sa section, ladite déformation provoquant la rupture de la structure (3). La principale caractéristique de ce dispositif est que la charge pyrotechnique est une charge déflagrante et donc que la vitesse de combustion de la charge pyrotechnique (5) est inférieure à 3000m/s. <IMAGE>
