The machine has a rack, with a lower part having a clamping plate, a driver having an upper section supporting the lower part where a clamp and an upper part turns a propelable shaft are coupled over thrust mechanism and the clamping plate is movable by tappets. Guides are adjustable in a vertical direction and held at the rack. The mechanism (22, 23) is adjustable and stored in a vertical direction of the upper plate. 15). Die Erfindung betrifft eine Presse, oder einen Stanz- oder Umformautomaten (10) mit einem Gestell, das ein Gestelloberteil (15), ein Gestellunterteil (14) sowie das Gestelloberteil (15) am Gestellunterteil (14) abstützende Ständer (16) aufweist, wobei das Gestellunterteil (14) eine Aufspannplatte (34) umfaßt und das Gestelloberteil (15) eine drehend antreibbare Exzenterwelle (18) aufnimmt, die über mindestens eine Schubeinrichtung (22,23) mit einem relativ zur Aufspannplatte hin- und herbewegbaren Stößel (20) gekoppelt ist, der mittels Führungselemente in vertikaler Richtung verschiebbar am Gestell gehalten ist. Um die Presse bzw. den Stanz- oder Umformautomaten (10) derart weiterzubilden, daß die Qualität der Werkstückbearbeitung verbessert und der Werkzeugverschleiß reduziert wird, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, daß die mindestens eine Schubeinrichtung (22,23) in vertikaler Richtung verschiebbar am Gestelloberteil (15) gelagert ist. <IMAGE>
