[origin: EP1582429A1] The method for the testing and evaluating of an overrun geometry of track components entails determining directly or indirectly in a fixed space system of coordinates a spatial progression of a path of a wheel provided with a reference wheel profile when rolling over the subject track section and then evaluating it with regard to its dynamic impacts. A measuring roller (1) guided in a measurement base (2) orientated parallel to the plane of the track is moved over a track component to indicate a vertical movement over the roll path.
