Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1582673A2] The building window locking catch mechanism (10) fits in the movable window frame. It has a U-section holding member with a groove (14) accommodating a peg on a lock actuator strap (36). This strap slides in the fixed frame of the window and has holding arm with hooked end. A spring-loaded (30) holding arm (28) is hinged (26) to the U-section holding member and has a hooked end (22). There is an entry gap (18) between the hooked end of the holding arm and a projection on the holding member and there is a sloping edge (20) on the holding member opposite the entry gap.
