[origin: WO2004066225A1] The invention relates to a method for initializing a desired game in an electronic gaming device that involves placing a predetermined stake for the execution of the game, and the game action is displayed on a screen. The invention is characterized in that: the following alternatives are offered to the player: a) forgoing an offered pre-game that is to be played before the desired game, and; b) executing this pre-game. The invention is also characterized in that: when the pre-game is forgone, the main game is executed with predetermined chances of winning and predetermined winnings; when selected and after execution of the pre-game that permits only one win or one loss, i.e. without fixing or paying a winning, the winning or loss of the pre-game is determined; when the pre-game is won, the main game is executed, and; when the pre-game is lost, the game is ended, and the placed stake is considered lost and, optionally, the gaming device offers the player the aforementioned alternatives once again.
