[origin: EP1437822A1] A flow channel (7) operates for an action fluid (A) containing ions (27), by which a rotor (3) is driven. A magnet (9) generates a preset magnetic field (B) in the flow channel, through which the action fluid with ions flows. A defined magnetic field is generated in the flow channel and ions are deflected in the magnetic field. An Independent claim is also included for a method for operating a turbo-engine with a rotor, a stator and a flow channel.
