Abstract (en)
The device has a main conveyor (2) by which mail articles e.g. letters, are transported between a conveyor belt (6) and a main belt (7). The belt (7) and a secondary belt (8) are constituted by a twisted belt (9) that is engaged on a floating pulley. The floating pulley has a floating rotational axis in three dimensional space. The belts (7, 8) are in contact with each other on their entire length between deflecting pulleys. The articles are transported along the secondary belt (8), towards a secondary conveyor (4). An independent claim is also included for a postal sorting machine including a conveying device.

Le dispositif de convoyage (D) comprend un convoyeur principal (2) par lequel des articles de courrier sont acheminés par pincement entre une courroie transporteuse (6) et une courroie principale (7), et un convoyeur secondaire (4) vers lequel les articles de courrier sont acheminés, après aiguillage, le long d'une courroie secondaire (8). Les courroies principale et secondaire réalisant les fonctions de convoyage principal et de convoyage secondaire sont constituées par une seule et même courroie (9) vrillée deux fois. Ladite courroie (9) vrillée deux fois est engagée sur une poulie de tension qui est une poulie flottante (Pf). <IMAGE>
