[origin: EP1584726A1] The lubrication system, for at least one lubricating point at a sewing machine, has a body (60) immersed in the oil container. The base of the body is of a light-permeable material with at least one reflection surface (84,86). A lamp (78) delivers a light beam downwards to the reflection surfaces, for the reflected light to be registered by an upper light receiver (80). The receiver generates a switch pulse when light strikes it to illuminate a warning lamp on a common carrier plate (74).
