[origin: EP1584747A2] The appliance consists of a frame (1) with chassis (11), a first and a second roller body (2,3) with the same diameter, and a tension roller (4) between the two. The three rollers are mounted axis-parallel on the frame. A continuous flexible stencil band (5) extends around all three rollers. The first roller has a vertical adjustment device (7) to adjust its position relative to the surface (6) of the road surface material. The device has a regulator element (8) for the pressure applied by that roller to the surface. The tension roller has a similar element (9) to regulate the power it applies to the stencil band. Each element is formed by a spring or a hydraulic cylinder. The appliance has an edge shuttering, which slides flat along the sides of a green concrete body. The appliance chassis has an electrical, hydraulic, or IC engine drive with continuously adjustable speed.
