[origin: WO2004066766A1] A magnetic fastener (1) including a first detachable fastening member (10) and a second detachable fastening member (20), said first and said second detachable fastening members (10, 20) respectively include a first and a second magnetic coupling surfaces (34, 64) which are magnetically attracted towards each other along an axial magnetic coupling direction, said magnetic fastener including guarding means (99) adapted to resist relative lateral movements between said first and said second magnetic coupling surfaces (34, 64) when said first and said second fastening members (10, 20) are under magnetic coupling, said first and second fastening members include co operative catching means (391, 991) adapted to resist disengagement of said first and second fastening members (34, 64) generally along said axial magnetic coupling direction when said first and second fastening members are simultaneously under magnetically coupling and subject to lateral tensions applied transversally to said axial magnetic coupling direction.
